This page supplements the Privacy notice and explains what information is stored in your browser and why. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”) is the primary applicable law; where data subjects have a connection to the EU/EEA, the GDPR may also apply.

1. No consent-required tracking on this website

This website does not embed third-party analytics or marketing scripts that would require prior consent. The Local Storage entry described below is used solely so that the banner notice is not shown again after you have acknowledged it once (storage key with the prefix swiss-pga-sodales-cookies-). Sign-in uses technically necessary session data via the Supabase service (see section 2).

2. Technically necessary storage (Supabase / Local Storage)

For registration and My Sodales, authentication-related identifiers are stored in the browser (Local Storage or comparable storage used by the sign-in client library) so that your session can persist across page navigations. Secure sign-in is not possible without this storage. Processing takes place in the context of membership or the terms of use and of legitimate interests in preventing abuse; see the table in the privacy notice for details.

3. “Cookies” in the strict sense

HTTP cookies may be set by the application, the hosting provider (e.g. Vercel), or the browser stack where this is indispensable for operating the site (security, load balancing, session). Under Swiss law, such strictly necessary cookies generally do not require consent; they are not used for advertising. Classic third-party marketing cookies are not used.

4. Server and security logs

When you visit the website, the hosting provider typically generates technical connection and security logs (including IP addresses within the limits of logging). This is addressed in the privacy notice under processors and the processing purposes “Operations & security”.

5. Browser settings

You can delete or restrict cookies and local storage in your browser. Please note: If you completely block or delete storage required for the session, sign-in and member features may stop working.
